On Wednesday, July 30, 2008, Jose Eli Lopez Reneria and Oscar Arzaluz Esquivel were arrested and taken into custody. The subjects will be charged with possession with the intent to distribute one and one-half pounds of methamphetamine. Both subjects are believed to be in the United States illegally and were arrested without incident.

These arrests are the result of another successful combined effort of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and law enforcement partners to include the Greater Omaha Safe Streets Task Force, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Nebraska State Patrol and the Omaha Police Department.

The public is reminded that a complaint is not evidence of guilt and that all defendants in a criminal case are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
