SCHOOL TEACHER AND STUDENT FOUND IN MEXICALI, MEXICO

Earlier this evening at approximately 7:30 pm, Central time, Kelsey L. Peterson, age 25 and Fernando Rodriguez, age 13 were located in Mexicali, Mexico, and taken into custody by officials from the Baja California State Preventive Police Agency. Both currently remain in the custody and care of Mexican authorities in Mexicali, Mexico.

FBI Agents from the San Diego Field Office and the FBI Imperial County Resident Agency Office have been dispatched to Mexicali, Mexico to meet with Mexican authorities. Investigation is continuing in this matter.
