PRESS CONFERENCE REGARDING FLOOD FRAUD
Law Enforcement Agencies To Warn About Possible Post-Disaster Scams

United States Attorney Matt M. Dummermuth, Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller, Linn County Attorney Harold Denton, Cedar Rapids Police Chief Greg Graham, Linn County Sheriff Don Zeller, Johnson County Attorney Janet Lyness, and FBI Supervisory Senior Resident Agent Craig Sorum will hold a press conference Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Police Department. They will discuss potential fraud that could follow recent disasters in Iowa, how to avoid those scams, and Iowa’s anti-price-gouging rule that is in effect in counties where there are disaster declarations.
