Indianola Resident Sentenced To Twelve Years For Bank Robbery

Des Moines, IA- On May 16, 2008, 42 year old John Paul Reynolds of Indianola, Iowa, was sentenced to twelve and one-half years for Bank Robbery. United States District Judge James Gritzner also ordered Reynolds to serve a two year term of supervised release following incarceration. Reynolds entered a guilty plea on January 11, 2008 to robbing the United Credit Union in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on November 14, 2006, and robbing the Federal Employee’s Credit Union in Des Moines, Iowa on November 20, 2006. Reynolds was ordered to pay restitution $17, 947 and pay a $100 assessment to the Crime Victim Fund.


The investigation was conducted by the Council Bluffs, Iowa, Police Department, the Des Moines Police Department, the Polk County Attorney’s Office, the Pottawattamie County Attorney’s Office, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
