United States Attorney Joe W. Stecher and the Tri-Cities Drug Task Force, including the Nebraska State Patrol, FBI, Grand Island police Department, the hall County Sheriff's Office, the Adams County Sheriff's Office, the Buffalo County Sheriff's Office, the Hastings Police Department, the Hall County Attorney's Office, IRS, the Kearney Police Department, and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, announce the following information for the attention of the media: Event Triggering this Release: On February 15, 2008, the Honorable Richard G. Kopf, United States District Court Judge, sentenced Maria Dawn Cross as to count 1 to 5 years in prison for distribution of methamphetamine in the Hall County area. On April 17, 2007, Cross sold an ounce of methamphetamine to a law enforcement cooperator from her residence in Grand Island. In addition, Judge Kopf ordered Cross to pay restitution in the amount of $1,600, serve a 5 year term of supervised release, and pay $100 special assessment. Name of Defendant:
