Pennsylvania Man Sentenced On Local
Attempted Production Of Child Pornography Charges

DAVENPORT - On July 3, 2007, Daniel Fronczak, Jr., age 29, of Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to a term of 340 months imprisonment for attempted production of child pornography, announced United States Attorney Matthew G. Whitaker. United States District Judge John Jarvey also ordered Fronczak to serve a five-year term of supervised release following imprisonment, and to pay $100 to the Crime Victims Fund. Judge Jarvey emphasized that in order to deter this kind of conduct and to protect the public, the sentence must be harsh.

Fronczak first had contact with the victim via the internet, then in December of 2005, he traveled to Muscatine, Iowa, where he met her in person. On November 30, 2006, Williams entered a plea of guilty to the attempted production of child pornography charge. At the time of his plea, Fronczak admitted that he had videotaped sexual acts with the fourteen-year old girl and then destroyed the tape.

This prosecution was handled by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa. The investigation was conducted by the Muscatine Police Department, the Moline Police Department, the Pennsylvania State Police, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
