Sentencing -- Luis Antonio Dominguez-Flores

United States Attorney Joe Stecher and the Tri-Cities Drug Task Force, including: the Nebraska State Patrol, FBI, Grand Island Police Department, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office, the Hastings Police Department, the Hall County Attorney’s Office, IRS, the Kearney Police Department, and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, announce the following information for the attention of the media:

Event Triggering this Release: On March 23, 2007, the Honorable Richard G. Kopf sentenced Luis Antonio Dominguez-Flores to ten years imprisonment for his conviction for conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine. Judge Kopf also ordered forfeiture of $3,542 in currency and a firearm, specifically a 12 gauge double barrel shotgun, seized in relation to the defendant’s drug conspiracy. Dominguez-Flores conspired with others to distribute at least a pound of methamphetamine in the Grand Island, Nebraska, area between January 1, 2004 through July 24, 2006. Judge Kopf also sentenced him to a 5 year term of supervised release and $100 special assessment.

The maximum penalties include not less than 10 years to more than life imprisonment, a fine of up to $4,000,000, or both such fine and imprisonment, a term of supervised release of at least 5 years and a $100 special assessment. Count II and Count III. Forfeiture of property in violation of Title 21, United States Code, section 853, and Title 18, United States Code, Section 924(d).
