FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

United States Attorney Joe W. Stecher, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Omaha Police Department announce the following information for the attention of the media:

Event Triggering this Release: On March 15, 2007, the Honorable Joseph F. Bataillon sentenced Alan Livermore, 26, of Glenwood, Iowa, to a 57-month term of imprisonment for bank robbery. After his release from prison, Livermore will be on supervised release for three years.

On October 5, 2006, Livermore entered the U.S. Bank, 222 South 72nd Street in Omaha. He placed a knife to the throat of a customer and demanded fifty and one hundred dollar bills. After receiving $1,200 he left the bank. He was apprehended by Omaha Police in the parking lot. The proceeds of the robbery and a pocket knife were taken from Livermore, and he admitted to robbing the bank.
